The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content).
We plan to add text alternatives for all images by September 2022. When we publish new content, we’ll make sure our use of images meets accessibility standards.
PDFs and other documents
Most of our old PDFs and downloadable documents require improved title descriptions, can be difficult to navigate due to poor use of bookmarks, are not fully machine readable and are untagged. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1, 1.3.1, 2.4.2, 2.4.5 and 3.1.1.
Third party content
Within the site we have content which is provided to us by third party organisations. Whilst we advise on best practice, we have not paid for or developed the content ourselves and therefore the content is within someone else’s control.
