Job Title:        Project & Improvement Officer - Commissioning

Team:             Commissioning

Hours:            37 per week

Grade:            G SCP 23 £32,076 to SCP 27 £34,834

Contract:        1 x Permanent and 1 x 12 Month Fixed Term

We have two posts available in our commissioning team, which is structured based on the life course model of Start, Live and Ageing Well:

  •  Start Well –Services and early intervention offer for Children and Young People (Residential, Supported Accommodation and Fostering, Special Educational Needs, and Transition)
  • Live Well – Services and early intervention offer for Adults with Disabilities aged 18 to 64 (Physical Disabilities, Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Autism), and Public Health
  • Age Well – Services and early intervention offer for Older People aged 65+ (Dementia, Physical disabilities)

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Project Officer, who has experience of collaboratively working with a range of key partners, to use their skills to set the direction of projects which will improve our offer to, and care of, some of the most vulnerable people within our Borough.

The two posts are in the following sections:

  •  1 x 37 hours per week, permanent post in the Live Well Team
  •  1 x 37 hours per week, 12 months fixed term contract in the Age Well Team

Job Description

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and energetic person with good interpersonal skills who can quickly forge strong productive relationships within a multi-disciplinary environment.

You will have a track record of successfully delivering multiple projects within the health, social care, or VCSE sectors including experience of effectively identifying, tracking and managing project risk/interdependencies. You will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions. You will also have exceptional IT skills, particularly in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

You will have a positive attitude to change, and a desire to develop and drive service improvements.  Although you will be working as part of a team you will also have the confidence and ability to effectively frame and manage your own workload.
